"After coming back from travelling with a few spare tyres and unbelievably a bit of spare cash I decided to invest in a personal trainer. I searched people registered in Leeds and Jenny seemed to fit the bill of things I wanted to achieve - weight loss, inch loss to specific areas and an overall improvement in fitness. Knowing I wasn't motivated enough to join a gym it was ideal that Jenny could train me in my home. We started training together at the end of Dec 2008 and I have not looked back since. I reached my target weight within 10 months of training, and have lost a total of 25. I initially trained with Jenny to motivate me towards achieving my goals, however having got to where I want to be I still train with Jenny on a weekly basis to keep me focused and also so I can maintain the weight and dress size which I achieved.

We train together once a week, with our sessions being a combination of aerobic and toning work, and although we have worked together for over 18 months I still find them to be an excellent workout with a huge variety of challenging exercises.

Jenny is a fantastic motivator, she gets you to work hard without you realising it and even if I have an 'off week' she keeps me positive and focused to get back on track and achieve my goals. Jenny is always there for support outside of the training sessions, she is very approachable and available for advice. She is understanding and non-judgemental. "In July 2005 I felt like I'd hit a rut, I was constantly tired and down in the dumps and a lot heavier than I was happy with! I decided to join my local gym. After I had been a member for about 5 weeks I wasn't seeing or feeling the results I wanted to achieve. My main goal was just to feel better about myself - to become more energetic and motivated and hopefully to lose weight and increase my fitness levels in the process. It was at this point that I first contacted Jenny.

I'd never had a personal trainer before and was very nervous about what Jenny would be like. I didn't want someone making judgments about me and thinking I was the most unfit person they'd ever met! Jen was great! She soon put me at ease and we worked out a realistic plan to help me achieve what I wanted - at no time did my fear of feeling judged come to fruition!

I have been training with Jenny ever since, and without sounding over the top it is one of the best things I could have ever done. She is bubbly, fun but at the same time very professional and knows what she is doing. She has an uncanny knack of motivating you without you realising she's actually doing it!

In the time I have been training I have become fitter and lost weight, but more importantly I am more self-motivated and actually spend less time moaning about how tired I am! The most surprising thing I achieved was starting to run! I hated running, due to an evil PE teacher at school, and would avoid it at any cost. Jenny persuaded me to try it and at first we just did run, walk sessions. As my fitness levels built so did my enjoyment of running and I have now completed the Abbey Dash and several 5k runs - an achievement I never would have dreamed of - but which Jen always seemed to believe I could do."
